| How do I become a Fire Fighter on the North Middlesex Fire Department |

You need to read the following and understand the commitment required of
our fire fighters and benefits to being a member of the fire department.

- You receive 24/7 personal injury insurance coverage
|
|
- Attend fire practice night every other week.
|
|
- Live or work within 10Km of the fire station you are assigned too.
|
|
- Attend an interview conducted by the fire committee.
|
|
- Pass a physical test using fire equipment.
|
|
- To fill out an application you must press the "I agree" button at the bottom of this page.
|
|
- I affirm and certify that the information given on or attached
to this application is true and correct.
|
|
- I understand that my falsification of statements, misrepresentation,
deliberate omission, or concealment of information may be considered just
cause for immediate dismissal.
|
|
- I agree to have at my own expense a physical and/or medical examination
including x-rays or other tests or procedures required by a medical doctor
if requested by the North Middlesex Fire Department prior to employment.

|
- I understand I will be subject to a minimum 12-month probationary
employment period.
|
|
- I understand that I must be able to obtain a valid "DZ"
Ontario drivers license within my first 12-months as probationary fire fighter.

|
- I agree to comply with all North Middlesex Fire Department
directives including operational policies, operational guidelines,
departmental and station rules, regulatins, and other terms and
conditinos of employment as may be instituted or revised from time
to time.
